How to request & organize a course

Find the right route for you with our coaching pathway, Technical Official Course information for your Region, District or Community Club.

Things to consider before organizing a Course

Before organizing a course:

  • Read the course guidelines: Ensure you are familiar with the content, structure, duration, and prerequisites for the Course. Potential learners should also review this information before applying.
  • Assess local demand: Gauge interest within your region or club. Contact local teams and facilities to confirm there is enough interest. A minimum of 18 learners is typically required for the course to be viable.
  • Plan for integration: Consider how this course fits into your regional development plan. Identify pathways for learners to volunteer or gain practical experience after they qualify.
  • Notify your Regional Association: Inform your regional badminton association of your intention to run the course to ensure alignment with regional calendars and development goals.

Step 1: Decide on your course type

Step 2: Booking instructions

  1. Send an Email to events@ghanabadminton.org, Outlining purpose and course proposal including the exact venue address and any facility requirements (e.g., number of courts, projector access etc).
  2. For closed courses, the course organiser must sign the “Closed Course Waiver/Agreement.”
  3. Submit the booking form via email to events@ghanabadminton.org at least eight (8) weeks before your proposed course start date to allow time for tutor allocation and promotion.

Step 3: Confirmation process

  • Once your booking form is received, you will get an acknowledgement email from Ghana Badminton.
  • The Technical team will check tutor availability for your proposed dates.
  • Responsibility for booking the venue lies with the course organiser.
    • Important: Do not book a venue or pay non-refundable deposits until Ghana Badminton has formally confirmed a tutor is available. Ghana Badminton cannot be held liable for venue costs if the course is cancelled due to tutor unavailability or low numbers.
  • If a tutor is available, you will be given the go-ahead to finalize venue booking and open registration will begin on our website
